Pure Newborn Photography: A Union With Beauty
My husband is usually measured in his praise of my work. “That’s nice, Sweetie,” or “Very nice, Babes,” are the stock answers I get from him. Nice? What does nice mean, I ask you? To be fair to him, he’s extremely lavish in his praise when he’s telling others about my work. It’s probably a male thing, right? However, he did do a double take on a few photographs recently. I thought he might even have given himself whiplash! “Wow! I love it!” he purred. “That’s pure newborn photography,” he said and I quote.
So, I thought about it. He’s right. And this post was born. (Just don’t tell my husband, he might take credit for it!)
Pure Newborn Contentment
It is beautiful, isn’t it? Pure newborn photography … because the subject is pure.
Simple & Pure Newborn Photography
And here is the next photograph that got my husband purring…
It’s adorable, isn’t it? It looks like he’s offering a gorgeous smile. Of course, we all know what the little fella is really doing, but let’s not spoil the moment, shall we? When a newborn baby smiles, we all smile. One picture is worth a thousand words. Every time!
Pure Newborn Joy
Few things touch the heart like a newborn baby does. Few things stir as much unbridled joy. And it’s certainly not just us ladies who these little bundles have wrapped around their teeny weeny fingers. I have many true-blue Aussie fathers accompany their partner and newborn to my studio who are reduced to large slabs of goo-goo, ga-ga. I think newborns remind us of the sheer joy of life. The innocence and preciousness of it. So, here’s one more order of pure newborn photography. Yes please!
“Rare is the union of beauty and purity,” said the Roman poet Juvenal. While it sounds like he may have had his heart broken a few times, the poet may have seen things differently had he been a newborn photographer. In each newborn that enters my studio, I witness the treasure of this union.
