2013 Highlights: Enjoying My Focus
2013 is behind us and a new year lies ahead. Having settled on a focus for my business after nearly a decade of photographing just about everything, 2013 gave me the opportunity to flesh out my passion for newborns, babies and preggie-mums. In particular, through out this past year my home-based studio was awash with the beautiful sounds of little bundles of joys and proud, cooing parents. I simply never get tired of creating never-to-forget memories of these precious little ones, and 2013 gave me the chance to meet many new little personalities and their delightful families. To say that I’ve been enjoying my focus is an understatement!

Enjoying My Focus 2013
Having a baby is one of life’s absolute high-water points. A child is a gift from God, and the nine month journey from conception to birth is the subject of hundreds of thousands of books. But unless you’ve walked it, words just don’t quite paint the picture. Even having walked through it twice myself, words fail. As much as my husband tried to walk with me through it, he had no idea … and still has no idea!
This is where pictures are invaluable. Photographs can capture moments from this journey that help us remember—and we certainly do need the help. Maternity photography was not an option in my world through my pregnancies, and I can only attempt to piece together a few fragmented thoughts of the experiences (while I hide the few unflattering pictures that I do have).
If you’re just beginning the “pregnancy journey” (for the first or fourth time), or are anywhere on this journey, let me encourage you to seek out a maternity photographer to forever capture you in this very special time in your life. I can assure you, you won’t regret it.
